      Not sure this is gatekeeping, as much as a tongue in cheek reaction to the generic, oft-repeated responses you see in many fediverse posts, regarding capitalism, enshittification, open source etc. Sometimes people just want to vent.

        The funny part is that most people you encounter dont know shit about any of the topics. A fact they proudly present in the wording of their posts and comments.

        TW hyperbole: „What if google actually means well?“ „The rich should be able to keep their blood money“ „Capitalism keeps the commies away.“

        I‘m obviously joking with the headlines but it would actually help if folks started to do freaky stuff like reading books. History for example is very helpful to understand the reality of today.

        But enpugh of that. Its 5 am, I‘m cranky and cant sleep. Have a good one.
