  • Same. But mark read has been broken for a while and at $20+ for no ads or ultra dev really needs to be on top of these updates to justify the price. My ultra expired a few weeks ago, but I’m not paying again unless he stops treating this like reddit. Reddit was pretty stable so didn’t mind the long gaps with no updates. But at 5x the cost …update

Hawaii has big ones. When I lived there, going to the kitchen at night and opening the fridge or turning on the light almost always had at least one flying towards your face. That’s the only time I’ve seen them fly. Guessing they can’t fly far, but are capable as a quick escape mechanism.

  • All the replies to you so far don’t seem to give a shit about cyber security. As an alternative experience, I’ve had a supervisor that was friends with the IT guy and together they bypassed the content filter. And not for porn or anything, for like games like wordle being blocked. They were both instantly fired when found out. Granted, this company dealt with financial transactions flowing through their network so had additional scrutiny and laws to follow, but this is basic security that any company should follow.

From my brief testing with infinity, it does seem pretty good. I like that the feed doesn’t bounce around like liftoff as images load. But sync just has much more customization. If I wasn’t willing to pay, I’d probably be using infinity. But I had years of use with sync and that improved experience is worth the cost for me.

  • I just installed Debian 12 on an Optimus laptop and had no issues. Well none that I can blame on Debian. Somehow secure boot got re-enabled which blocks the Nvidia drivers from loading. But once I figured that out drivers installed great, and not having any problems. Worth a try since you say you want to try Debian.
