I myself like Gnome’s Epiphany browser. Yeah it’s not perfect, but at least it works and granted the performance is getting somewhere. Also, I think its based on Apple’s Webkit, but I couldn’t be more far off.
I tend to forget stuff, mind helping me remember, lol 😂.

Isn’t that a windows problem, as Linux macos are unaffected…
I didn’t fully see it as I thought it was standard Linux shit posting, turns out I’ve probably gotta open my eyes next time 😳
For reference, when I saw this for the first time on Twitter. I thought it was a normal image, so I posted here be or your thoughts / opinions on Linux vs windows. Looking back, I noticed that it’s such a stupid infographic.
Yeah, in fact. The Linux kernel does use proprietary software (Blobs) for it to run. Or stuff to function like Bluetooth and shit like that.
Idk, just a Twitter post I found.
Yeah! I did ‘rest’ for rest api support. That works too
I did try this, and considering I purchased it on Amazon’s store years ago, I know terrible, that launcher you mentioned only supports Google. Amazon also doesn’t have API support for their store unlike Google.
Take it that your instance didn’t cache the image? 😂. I deleted the image and post due to me thinking it was a bad post and meme. Turns out, I was wrong lol 😝
To be real with you, I find windows more complicated, the syntax…
Listen, it’s a screenshot from when I was using windows back in 2020. It’s from Facebook messenger, I just didn’t feel like downloading and uploading when Lemmy has a url link I can drop here. Sorry, I get why you hate Facebook, me too. I just find it convenient to use the link feature. Again, privacy badger is a useful add on I use that helps blocks Facebook and X (Twitter) widgets.
Nice, I did know Steam had an overlay, as I used it once. OBS, I have seen people use Replay Buffer. I’ll probably check this out.
I don’t like the proprietary nature of Macs though 🥲
I actually like that idea! That’s the only thing I’m missing, and I forgot macOS had the top bar at the top. I never used it, but I know and seems creators use it, so I know what it looks like to some extent.
Glad to know, thanks for the heads up.
When I went to the repo, I didn’t see any message saying it was unmaintained.
I managed to get latte Dock customized to my liking. It works fine and I can get my work done with ease. I do have elementary, an old version mind you, on my Ventoy usb drive if I ever need it.
Latte Dock
I already got the theming for macos done from the KDE store app lol, I’ll try Latte then, and see if that works.
I was also going to use unity for my video game, but as I saw that unity changed their policy, or is going to change it too the worse in January. I’m going to stick with Godot.
Quick question? Since Firefox is open source couldn’t you in theory modify where the password manager is going. Syncing your passwords from the browser to your local server. Idk, I just thought of that and know that that’ll never work or it may be too much work when there’s an alternative for that anyways. Just something I thought of from what you were saying about “if Mozilla may kill their servers” which they will imo.
