So unpopular opinion but dude was an asshole. Not once have I read about him and Save the Manatee. This guy personally wrestled it away from The Florida Audubon Society in the early 90’s so he could run it. He hired fake protestors for the news. Just an asshole… coming from an actual Floridian.

I think a lot of us here will fall under the “likes to obsess about fun little witty facts” type of neurodivergence. It explains why I was arrogant enough to ask for an explanation in the first place I suppose.
Sorry I was cunty. Your explanation made me smile and now I’ve added the movie to my watchlist. A lot of the time we can get upset when we’re not in on it, or when we share something we are passionate about and people aren’t meeting us with the same enthusiasm.
