Tile or concrete floors, hard surface walls, glass windows all reflect sound. As people start talking, if they are drinking they get louder, so then each table is trying to talk over the tables around them. Without acoustic damping, it can get pretty loud.

I suspect the main issues people ‘in the wild’ have with signal involves ineffective use of the app. Do you check the ‘safety number’ with every user? Do you use disappearing messages? Does anyone have access to your phone, or other linked device?

It’s been my observation that more people all the time are looking for relationship options that fit them better than the standard monogamy model. Shifts are generally 12 hours. However, it’s pretty common to have a case come in at 11:30, and one is on that case till it’s done. So 13-14 hour shifts are not uncommon.
