Yeah, fighting open source emulators is kind of like fighting a hydra. People will fork the project and one of those will probably emerge as the alternative to Ryujinx. At the same time Nintendo did manage to get an entire team of developers to exit the Switch emulation scene under penalty of breaching the settlement. It’s not going to kill Switch emulation, but they did manage to take down one of the most popular ones.

This is like getting punched in the gut and then pepper-sprayed.

When the politicians say that they clearly mean they’re going to take away other people’s freedoms. Not my freedom. My freedom is going to be fine.

Seeing MatPat being called the old internet is…something all right. Almost as disorienting as seeing all the “Who?” reactions to the news. I guess it isn’t that surprising given how huge Youtube is. I’m sure there are plenty of giant channels I’ve never heard of. That being said I’m curious to see if any more “old-school” youtubers decide to retire over the next year.

Every time I think Musk has written his stupidest Tweet he goes and proves me wrong. It’s honestly impressive.

I was laying in bed and trying to get to sleep. I kept hearing this tapping, or scuttling, noise coming from somewhere in my room, but I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. Decided it was just old house noises and tried to ignore it. Then something fell from the ceiling and landed on my face. Shouted, slapped at my face, and heard something fall on the floor. Flipped on the light and saw the roach trying to scurry away. Hit it with a book until it was dead. Maybe not the most horrifying, but it was one of the worst experience I’ve had with a roach, so far at least.

Personally, I prefer physical books, especially if it’s a book that I really like. There’s just something about physically having the book and knowing that you won’t lose access to it unless something happens to the book. That being said most of my reading these days is digital simply due to the fact that I don’t have the space for all the books I want. Ebooks are just too convenient when it comes to saving space. Still, if it’s a book that I think I am going to keep coming back to then I would probably get a physical copy.

Who is saying this? Halloween is almost over. We only have one week left before every store starts playing Christmas music until January.

It’s too late. She’s already here. My local Walmart threw out all the outdoor stuff in the garden section and put up Christmas trees, decorations, and lights.

It varies from state to state. Some let you take it the next day, others might require you to wait a few weeks. At least that is what I remember from when I was worried about failing the test. Although, I’ve never really heard of a practice where the DMV or an instructor fails everyone the first time. Some instructors might be stricter than others, but I don’t think it’s a policy across DMVs and driving instructors. Besides, with two months of practice, you should be fine. So long as you can obey traffic laws and do what the instructor says you should pass.

Most of the dreams I remember are what I guess you would call the 3rd person where I’m watching myself go through the dream. It’s hard to explain. It’s kind of like watching a movie while also being an actor in the movie if that makes sense.

I haven’t even heard of half of these shows, let alone watched them. Who even has time to watch all of these?

Yeah. At least when nuclear war was the existential threat hanging over humanity you had the comfort that it would all be over in an instant. Now we get to watch a slow unraveling of civilization over decades while things continue to get worse. Fun times.

I mean, yeah America’s rightward spiral is depressing, especially if you live there. But it’s not exactly an American-exclusive phenomenon. Italy elected a far-right party, France might in their next Presidential election, and even Germany’s far-right party is surging in the polls. Honestly, I’m struggling to think of a country that hasn’t seen a massive rightward surge over the last few years.

Xitter? Are people not just continuing to call it Twitter? Maybe if it ever becomes the everything app Musk wants it to be it will be distinct enough to justify a rebrand, but for right now it’s just Twitter with the name filed off.
