I guess I should have been more specific, I apologize. What is the relation to the word “mander” and the topic of the instance?

Maybe not the perfect place to ask, but under topic specific instances, mander is highlighted. What topic is this?
Wiki says
The roofing structure was designed to be visually attractive, and incorporates translucent polycarbonate to allow sunlight to illuminate the walkways
The source leads to a book that I don’t have, though. Would love to see more angles
Lmao and I said “that guy”. I blame the low quality picture! XD
That guy looks his parents were Tom Scott and Shayne Topp
I don’t think there’s a big problem by using upvotes, downvotes and comments as systems that can show the popularity or controversy of a post.
Imo the bigger problem is in the comments using the same voting system. For starters, everyone the system in a different way. Most notably example is downvoting to disagree.
Secondly, because we are evolutionary wired to try and fit in, you either consciously or subconsciously try to create a comment that will give you the best chances at seeing the numbers go up and receive validation from your peers.
Personally I think the system is fine to keep running under the hood to keep the sorting algorithms available and maybe for moderation purposes, but it would be great if we wouldn’t be able to see them at all as to not be influenced by the connections we make between votes and post content.
An example could be AliExpress, with a 130B in revenue and 11B in profit (2023), it would reduce their profit to 3.2B with the 6% fine. That’s a whopping 70% less profits, and cutting expenses isn’t gonna fix it either.
If you cared to read the article, you will find that they also are investigating AliExpress, Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok.
It’s 6% of revenue, not profit. So it cuts even more into profits as it doesn’t allow a company in breach of regulations to reduce the impact of the fine by adding expenses that will temporarily lower their profit.
Even more spicy, they can also impose periodic penalties up to 5% of the average daily worldwide turnover for each day of delay in complying. That shit can bankrupt you.
Not as a fun little option, at least not here. If you’re too scared of the dentist to the point of panic attacks (anxiety can override rationality) then you can be put under for the procedure to reduce emotional trauma and even to prevent hurting yourself.
If you want to start talking to lawmakers about wanting to watch porn without having to show ID, you would be dismissed if you’re going to cite free speech being the right it is infringing upon. Privacy would be a better starting point, for example.
Is that a legal definition or your personal interpretation?
I agree that it’s a slippery slope, but what does this have to do with freedom of speech?
Fair, thanks for the reply
And there’s no rule in spamming my own blog for clicks?
Now that’s how you smoke a bowl
It sounds like we need PM’s to act as a liason between developers and end-users to bridge the difference in jargon and way-of-thinking.
I never thought I’d say having PM’s were going to help. Ironic.
I’d argue Celsius makes more sense from a human experience standpoint. Too damned cold or hot is highly subjective. The freezing and boiling points of water are easy references.
Although technically the boiling point of water can change where you are in the world. But from neighbour to neighbour, you will have the same effects
Dutchie here to explain why that’s not ironic:
If its a dotted line cars are allowed to use it, but only if it doesn’t impede on cyclists. So while they didn’t have to be there, it’s not unlawful as there’s no cyclists.
If it was a single line, it’s a different story.
