I have a few at home and a few at work. I don’t need them much anymore with esims, but a few of our users still have older phones.

Updates? No, but still runs like a champ. Even so, an OS from 7 years after its manufacture date is pretty good. My main point was against your “after 4 years” you need to buy a new Mac.
I agree. I work in IT and often get asked what the best phone is when someone is looking. I tell them to go to the store and play around with a number of phones for a while. The one they seem to like best or are drawn to more is the one they should get. It makes 0 difference to me what brand of phone/pc/diapers/whatever someone else uses.
My 2010 MacBook Pro disagrees
And I believe they stopped charging for OS updates before Microsoft did, though I could be misremembering.
Same. No matter how annoying they can be sometimes, I wouldn’t give my specific kids up for any amount of money.
Yup, that’s actually the reason I checked out Avelon. Voyager is great, but it’ll be hard to keep up if it’s being worked on less. It’s too bad because it’s a great app! I certainly understand you can’t put too much into something you make no money from although I would pay for it at this point!
I keep switching between Voyager and Avelon. I like both of them and am having trouble deciding which I like better.
I don’t know why, but it never occurred to me that you need to comment to be counted as “active”
Well that’s terrifying, thank you for this new fear
I’ve mostly moved to Memmy, but for whatever reason Wefwef keeps reinstalling itself and I can’t figure out how to get it to stop
Little from column A, little from column B
I’ve had this for as long as I can remember. Normally it’s with something like. It’s or snakes, but occasionally I’ll see a figure in the doorway, or think there something standing or floating by my bed.
It’s rather annoying, especially for my wife since I usually have to turn on the light fire my brain decides it’s ok.
Now it feels like home!
This is exactly why I’m almost exclusively on All right now. If I only browsed my subscribed feed it would be, like you said, mostly dead.
I’m also using this as an opportunity to expand my horizons by trying communities I may not have seen or given a chance to on Reddit. It’s nice because overall Lemmy is a much nicer place to comment, so far, and I find myself being more willing to put my thoughts out there.
