Its one of the dangling threads from around that time. Likely the truth is fully lost to history
Its true. He claims he was “somewhere in Texas” during the assassination. Its one of those events where everybody remembers where they were when they heard the news, but he does not.
I get the desire to respond to current events but there’s nothing wrong with being a bit curious about why people don’t like the guy. Its weird to have so much grace for some random dude and none for the people criticizing him.
The media has sort of tossed him in with the “people who upset feminists” camp but like mostly its his “howto commit human trafficking” type videos that are generating criminal lawsuits.
don’t compare Tate to Assange. Tate is a common criminal who is dumb enough to go on camera and made howto videos on human trafficking and then tried to sell them to kids.
The allegations surrounding tate are more extreme than epstein and he has many recorded instances of himself describing the methods. This is a case that in US court would probably be easier to prosecute.
nobody is excusing him - I’m pointing out there are lots of reports of police assaulting women. Its frequent enough most major US papers have an article on costs cities pay associated with settling these allegations.
they’re rich AND a lot of people who should be arresting and prosecuting him have likely committed sex crimes themselves.
people forget it took 10+ years to put epstein in jail
I would watch this show but it needs some kind of overarching plot where at the beginning of the episode he’s in a space ship that pulls up to each world and he gets beamed down or something.
Its like the US and Russia passing a blunt back and forth except the blunt is filled with afghans.
sir, this is lemmy shitpost. Here’s a citation for thinkin too hard, don’t let it happen again.
Disc = round
Disk = rectangular
I think a more sensible nation than the US would freeze shipments to israel until a full investigation was concluded.
Not only does failing to react to this give Israel free reign to murder US citizens, but it also says the US probably won’t make any effort to protect any americans abroad.
These guys should have been arrested before they were killed for tribal incursions. Were the authorities jacking off? Whoever is in charge of keeping loggers in check fucked up and should be sacked. The logging company executive should resign in disgrace as well. Likely its his bribes that got these guys killed.
Elon is more dangerous because he’s a US government contractor which means his incessent law breaking and bullshittery will mean the US government will go to bat for him in a conflict
Wouldn’t want those military secrets getting out
Money is basically a vehicle for power and this a ketamine junkie in a garbage truck speeding through every intersection in the world and daring anyone to try and stop him. At least Brazil is trying.
I had coworkers that had all electric EVs (both had nissan leafs) 5 years ago and they both said it was like 7 dollars a month as a daily 60 mile per day commuter.
Aside from Teslas (which are afaik impossible to repair) the estimate is that due to fewer moving parts the lifetime maintenance costs are 2/3 the cost of gas vehicles AND the vehicles are expected to last longer in general (no giant gas engine that needs to be rebuilt every 200,000 miles)
This is one place where like gas car companies see this and keep trying to kick the can down the road
Imagine if everyone’s phone exploded to execute like 10 guys.
Edit: The take aways here are
Israel is a terrorist nation, that views civilian casualties as bonus points
any country who imports their electronics instead of making their own is susceptible to this kind of tampering.
The press is covering a terror attack like its some kind of new video game
All the unexploded ordinance can be delivered to Hezbollah as a gift. If the rumor that this was triggered because they became aware of the bombs, there will likely be many israelis killed by these explosives in the near future.
