A white cis male completely lacking empathy, to be more specific.
Especially alien planets with Jupiter’s gravity. It’s well known that more gravity == steeper cliffs!
That doesn’t really help unless the bag is also soundproof; it could just as easily store what you say and send it off later.
Are people actually sharing fediverse links directly? I just save the image or copy the link the post is linking to, and share that.
Those are some serious manipulation tactics… I like it.
I think a two disk dual boot is safe. I’ve had that setup for a while and Windows hasn’t broken anything yet (though I only use it maybe once a month).
Yeah I’ve definitely been caught off guard by the different sellers selling identical products before. Check the URL and see if the ID is the same, it probably won’t be.
Can’t Russians just use a Russia-based speed test service? The results shouldn’t be too different from a US one, other than lower latency. Or just use one of the many other US-based services.
Technically speaking, no. The mantle, which is solid, comprises about 2/3 of the Earth’s mass. However at a planetary scale solids are not rigid enough to maintain their shape, so the Earth is closer to a liquid held together by gravity than to a rigid solid object. See this simulation for an interesting demonstration of its properties: https://youtu.be/kRlhlCWplqk
I went there a while back, and I’ll second the great tour. It’s awesome that they actually maintain the elevator and let people go down. It’s a pretty cool experience, though not for the claustrophobic. Never knew about the microbes, that’s really interesting!
I hate that so much. Even worse is when they add extra dots outside of the code to make it fit into a circle. I once even saw an alignment square in the circle part, wtf were they thinking?
A bit over two months ago. I try to go through my password manager to change all my passwords and clean up unused accounts a couple times a year.
I’d like to see Linus’s response if anyone tried to enshittify the kernel.
Yeah, Discord is not a privacy preserving service in the slightest. Honestly I’m only using it because of the network effect at this point.
80,000 tons of CO2 is better than 80,000 tons in the ocean, I guess.
Well, it got the job done, did it not?
After reading the first few paragraphs, I can understand why that site was deprecated by Wikipedia as a source. It’s a very opinionated article.
Technically we can, it’s just so expensive as to be completely out of the question.
