I wonder if there isn’t a stable chamber shape that promotes turbulence in a controlled manner in order to prevent it getting out of hand? A little bit like the dimples on a golf ball create micro pockets of turbulence promoting laminar flow.

China doesn’t back losers, they’ve taken a step back and aren’t likely to do anything to jeopardize trade given their current economic issues. A similar trade ban to Russia’s would tank their economy instantly.
I visited about twenty years ago, it’s definitely worth a visit.
