For me it correlates so yes. I’m not saying one is necessarily caused by the other.
Conversely, I set up birthday reminders for the people I care about.

If they’re close friends and family I definitely expect them to remember. It’s a good indicator of who I can trust in my life as well, those who usually remember just also happen to be on the trustworthy list.
T rex just for the life expectancy. I wouldn’t appreciate the media attention though, the tarantula would absolutely go unnoticed… Although… Thinking about it… Maybe Trex gets shot immediately.
I need more context information to give a proper answer.
In essence, this quote is true.
Applied to reality though, in our day and age your results may vary. It is completely possible to travel and learn nothing that would open people’s minds especially when the traveling keeps itself within tourist zones and resorts designed to just give you a change of landscape and an illusion of cultural flavor.
You need to purposefully step away from that sort of thing and actually engage with the culture to get the benefits of the quote.
Eyeglasses counts?
A preference for classical music.
I never associated billiards with particularly intelligent people tropes. Chess and books, yeah they get the association.
No smell in dreams for myself but yes sounds, although if being honest most the times the sounds are from voices ( not always).
Visuals are always there, and I don’t say sight because I sometimes see my dreams in 3rd person.
I’ve experienced touch but it’s selective, often more some kind of proprioception while I fall, fly, swim etc.
I’ve tasted things in dreams though, very few times but it’s there.
Same where I live. And then you see all the shop windows dressed with fake snow and people buying santa hats when it’s 40⁰C out there and the whole ordeal feels so out of place
Clothes shops aren’t threatened by the Internet but boutique shops are outcompeted by chain retailers. So if you really want a safe business, go for a franchise or whatever you call it where you manage the Reknown Brand shop but don’t own the brand.
Absolutely, you have the possibility of judging the garment quality by touching it, you can see exactly how large it is and, in most cases, you can try it on to make sure it fits you and that you are okay with how it fits. You can’t do any of that online.
To prove our superiority in grace over sea lions, who also can clap, but not as gracefully
I think this depends a lot on the grandparents personality and mental state. If I had to do this with mine, I would pick places they have a personal connection to. For example, where they were born, the place their school is or used to be, somewhere memorable they visited during their honeymoon, you get the idea. Seeing stuff like that evolve through time is more interesting imo than just visiting, say, Paris or Tokyo virtually.
I think he’s got plenty of boards already, he’s a bit of a hardware scavenger, but thanks for the suggestion anyway
This and the other comment suggesting snacks gives me the idea of maybe imported snacks, that would be a novelty for sure
His opinion is that they’re cool but in reality he’s too smart for them. I’ve gifted him stuff like that in the past and he solved them in seconds. I’ve also seen him crack gizmo puzzles in other people’s homes to the astonishment of the owner.
I could look into those “guide the ball in a maze” type, which require motor skills and not just thinking. I was hoping to find something funny though, but no luck so far.
This is true, I can gift a bottle of wine if all else fails
It’s not just the form but the skill. I can’t dance the macarena to save my life, but when looking at her moves it’s unimpressive from a skill standpoint. Most people have seen more difficult, more coordinated, more agile moves pretty much anywhere on tv. It’s okay, but it’s not Olympics material. And then you hear the rumors that she got in because someone did her a favor, and that’s just unfair. There were other applicants more deserving of that opportunity, not to mention she’s making Australia look corrupt as fuck when it comes to judging their candidates.
Only people I really dislike. For everyone else, no, I don’t need or want their jealousy.
