If “A Major” in the title was intentional, then bravo!
Honestly I’d be exited to be able to meet the composer anyway, and maybe give him a pat on the head.

ME TOO! MY BIG BROTHER SAID IT’S CAPS UNLOCK BUT I CAN’T FIND THAT KEY ANYWHERE.
One of my first smartphones could do that as well. I don’t pay for streaming services and I don’t have infinite data like most people seem to have, so I dearly miss that kind of feature. The corporate overlords have decided that free is bad.
I’ve also cone to realize that this is the real purpose of ads.
[email protected], you have the right idea, but the other key thing you should remember is to never talk about the corps to anyone, even if you’re dragging their name through the mud. “No such thing as bad press,” as they say.
It’s good to denounce the practice, but it seems naming and shaming specific companies just doesn’t work anymore at this stage.
GTA IV uses this sound when you’re about to receive a call while driving. I remember being confused (and subsequently blown away by the attention to detail). I’m a little nostalgic for the sound so I’m glad it’s preserved in that game.
You rock, thanks for sharing!
This is gorgeous, wow! I wish I knew who “JB” is.
If anyone here wants a fun way to memorize more digits, enjoy this song!
Really glad I have a legit reason to share this old thing
This guy’s down
We should be thankful that this thing hasn’t been conjured into the real world.
That’s the early internet for ya 😎. I agree it’s bad by today’s standards, but these kind of pages have such a strong nostalgic quality for me. I just wish modern pages loaded in a femtosecond like this one did.
I remember reading about how silicon is theoretically possible, but I had (erroneously) assumed there were more potential candidates. Thanks for the additional info. This stuff is so fascinating!
You and your friend just casually met one of my favorite comedians/actors… Some people have all the luck. Well, at least this comment places me at (a very tenuous) two degrees of separation :)
Any noteworthy encounters with Cleese?
Edit because I misread
It’s impossible to tell if that’s an indictment of the people’s attitude or the “healthcare” system. Probably both. This country sucks rotten ass sometimes.
These answers are all really fun but I didn’t see anyone point out one thing: why should we assume that our creators’ “computer” architecture is anything remotely similar to our technology? I’m thinking of something like SETI—We can’t just assume that all other life is carbon-based (though evidently it’s a pretty good criterion). The simulation could be running on some kind of dark matter machine or some other exotic material that we don’t even know about.
Personally I don’t subscribe to the simulation theory. But if it were true, why would the system have any kind of limitation? I feel like if it can simulate everything from galactic superclusters down to strings vibrating in Planck Time, there are effectively no limits.
Then again, infinity is quite a monster, so what do I know?
Curious, where are you from? I like it when people from other countries use y’all, especially when the apostrophe is in the right place 🙂
We oughta put you in Tall Jail for your crimes! You should have at least given him the window seat so he could enjoy the view haha
I (6’5") actually sold my NA a couple of months ago. I could just fit in it and my knees were at 4:00 and 8:00 next to the wheel (not touching it at least). The only reason I sold it is because it wasn’t my daily driver and money has gotten very tight. So glad I learned to drive manual with it and then enjoy it for a few more years.
I miss it dearly :(
Oh also it was definitely a death trap for someone of my height. That roll bar would not have saved me.
BroGate
Sorry, I agree completely but I couldn’t resist. I hate the “-Gate” suffix too since it’s equally asinine.
Came here to say this! Take my upvote!
