For single-port traffic with Docker containers (e.g. Plex running in Docker), this has worked great for me: https://github.com/DigitallyRefined/docker-wireguard-tunnel

I don’t have to fiddle with IPTables or PostUp / PostDown rules. I just run that container on both my local machine and the VPS, and use the wg0.conf and peer1.conf it spits out for me.

Firefish devs actually took the time to code hostname migration into their software, however.

That aspect seems to be particularly lacking in most Fediverse software.

I’ve had good luck using this Docker container on both ends, using just a vanilla Ubuntu Oracle instance with the ports I need opened up.

Did they ever make it so you could add photos to your library by means other than the Immich UI?

Most of my photos just get copied to a folder on my NAS in Windows. The main reason I went with Photoprism was that Immich didn’t support that behavior.

I think firefish.social (the “flagship” Firefish instance) cratering at roughly the same time the dev went AWOL is more what prompted this.
