Help myself to around €200,000 worth of now-free iPhones from the warehouse
A secondhand Lenovo Thinkpad or Dell Latitude, 2013-2018 models. Get one with a quad-core i7, it will run you €150-€400 depending on the amount of RAM, SSD, screen resolution, condition and possibly an onboard GPU.
If you played old PC games from like 1990s, dip your toes into that. Even if you didn’t, still go check out the old PC gaming scene.
Hit up GZDoom with mods, Duke Nukem 3D, X-Com Apocalypse, SimCity 2000 and 3000 Unlimited, Shadow Warrior, Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri, OpenTTD, etc.
silence, Cracker McCrackerface
No idea what the brand of computer it was, but it was beige and had Windows NT on it, complete with one of those legendary loud mechanical keyboards and … the big beige ViewSonic CRT with the 3 birbs logo. It was a computer for work that my pops got some years after the Apartheid ended and there were also loads of 90s PC gaming goodness - SimCity 2000, Transport Tycoon Deluxe, Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, XCom Enemy Unknown and Apoccalypse, Jagged Alliance 2, etc. No internet or graphics to speak of, so no way in hell this computer was going to run Half-Life 1, Unreal Tournament or even Quake.
Oh and good old MS Paint.
Though at times I did get to go to my pops’ workplace and experience the Internet and all these Flash games.
“You’re too much into politics”
Said by people who are unwilling to admit they’re on the wrong side. Or in a more extreme setting (like say, South Africa during apartheid), they’d most likely report you to authorities or outright even kill you.
Literally anything regarding China, especially Xinjiang if you talk to anyone from
I was talking to a mate about Palestine and he immediately went for the “bUt TiAnAm3n SqU@r3 k1LLeD oVeR tEn Th0uSaNd” and the “Ch1n@ cEnOcIde iN UygHuRs Th0” with the swiftness of a 737 flying into the 2nd tower. They will disregard who originally makes these claims and are 100% unfazed by say, World Uyghur Congress being totally in support of the genocide in Gaza, the response being either dismissal or “you’re too much into politics and also ableism”.
€15,000 transferred right now.
Enough to leave back to South Africa for good since quality of life and the political landscape is worsening to the extent where I might even be in some degree of danger. Also work hasn’t allowed me to leave for the Friday prayer, so there’s that. I do get paid on Monday so after bills that leaves me with a little over €5,000 saved. The extra money would pay for the flight, buying a 1BR apartment outright with maybe spending a few grand on renovations and living expenses would be covered for at least 3 years, leeway to find an income.
I suppose the silver lining is that I am able to add an extra €400 a month to my savings, so this goal is at least materializing albeit slower than I’d like.
And Klanada
Something like a mix of Fursan al-Aqsa, Red Faction: Guerilla and Homefront (without the cringe).
I had a setting in an old worldbuilding roleplay akin to it.
Mostly eat, chat, play videogames or board games really.
And then I show up.
A replacement screen for my 2012 Samsung laptop. I fell on it, slipping on the ice and the screen was totally fucked. So woe is me, time to go to a technician and someone on the bus overheard me and suggested I buy the screen and fix it myself. Tech quoted me 300 bucks and 2 months wait.
So I bought it for under 100 bucks, took just a week and followed a how-to guide on Youtube. It was an improvement because it meant I was finally developing a job skill in computer maintenance and could do something to at least survive in capitalism.

Võru province in southeastern :estonia-burning: because it overwhelmingly voted for the Fatherland party, which is basically the Conservatives but worse because they are a huge kiss-arse for Isnotreal and want to kill the public healthcare system.
Something like 15 minutes break between 45 minutes of each lecture/period would be probably the most logical solution (which many countries implement) so there is at least some chill time instead of just having to hurry class to class. What if you need to 9/11 the school toilet, grab the heavy-arse books from the locker, make death threats to NAFOs on Twitter, or get some xp in Runescape? Maybe kids will be less likely to goof off in class?
We actually study history and read shit. Like I just finished reading Long Walk to Freedom & Armed and Dangerous, both are a fairly good firsthand on how “fascists” respond to non-violence and only start to have reservations when the oppressed shoot back.
