Next time use two line breaks after each line and it will work.

So it’s Jewish owned and you automatically assume that this never could have been put up by the owner because he’s Jewish and of course has to support Israel? That’s quite a bigoted conclusion of you.
I got a surprise for you, there’s quite a bit of Jews actively speaking out against Israel current bombings of civilians.
Well Putin for sure would be happy if Ukraine would choose this path. He’s quite used to brutally squash dissidents. Russia also has absolutely no qualm to disperse a group throughout their country to destroy their cultural identity. They are already doing so with the Ukrainian children they’ve kidnapped.
So sorry, but your proposal seems to be really naiv and not taking into account how fucking brutal Putin’s Russia is to people stepping even slightly out of line.
Why do you think I want you to not say this? That’s of course absolutely fine if you prefer a smaller community with all it’s pros and cons.
I just don’t know any way how your last sentence could come true with what we know about social media.
I don’t see how. Stuff which interests a very small percentage of people obviously results in a lot less people interested in it on a much smaller platform. You would need to specifically target and convince people of such niche interests to come on over. That doesn’t seem likely.
Loads of people are bad for stuff that’s very popular. But they also allow niche communities to build up. The later is what I miss about the Fediverse.
I certainly got my 30 bucks worth out of it. If I can come back in a few years and find a better game with more content then that’s just a cherry on top.
Exactly and frankly it’s only right to point out this cultural heritage even if obviously Ukraine doesn’t want to conquer these territories. Especially since Russia actively tries to rewrite cultural history about it. And that’s by no means limited to people with Ukrainian roots in Russia but they actively rewrite Russian history to discredit dozens of cultural minorities. Very similar to China’s ongoing “project” to make China as “Han Chinese” as possible.
Well duh. What did you think would happen? That they start loving Israel?
You can’t beat people to stop hating you.
Why would you tell your employees how much they make, it will only inflate payroll by ~20%.
GOOOOD! As it should be. Dear god, you just wrote out in public that you aren’t properly paying long term employees their fair share.
If you can’t compete with paying fair wages to all employees then you should go under!
And that’s exactly why wages should be transparent. So people can make an informed decision if they are valued enough at the company or if they should go somewhere else.
Access has the benefit that it allows you to build a front end and can have a relational database on the back end. You also can use real databases such as SQL. So it’s definitely better in that regard than Excel.
But of course it also has it’s limits in terms of speed and efficiency. I’ve definitely seen Access solutions which should have ported to a proper one years ago.
A lot of people here go shopping by car for a whole week as well and we also have people living in areas where the next shopping isn’t in walking distance. And it still works just fine. It’s really easy because of course you don’t have to stand in front of the checkout the whole time but can already bag stuff while the rest is being scanned. As long as you can bag your groceries as fast as they are being scanned it’s really no big problem. And if you’re a 90 year old granny who isn’t as fast, they still can bag their groceries while the next costumer is being processed since the packaging area is usually divided into two sections.
I’m really sorry, but the US didn’t invent some special kind of super grocery shopping which no other country can understand. You just like the convenience of not bagging your stuff yourself. It’s really not some top secret technique to make shopping 150% more efficient or something.
And yet somehow this isn’t a problem at all in countries where we don’t have people bagging our groceries. Checkouts very rarely have any downtime where we need to wait on people to finish bagging. Even with old people.
There’s no need to pretend. A war crime doesn’t justify the other side to commit one in return. The international law certainly doesn’t support a kind of tally system to check if one side still has committed to many crimes and a few more against them are OK.
How do they maintain morale for the remaining troops if they execute their own?
They don’t care about morale. They rule their troop with brutal means.
And how would they recruite fresh ones if this will be the possible fate of the troops?
Through forced conscription.
Not defending Russia, but I believe most militaries have rules on the books saying that field executions for disobeying orders are a necessary part of war.
The last time western powers seriously used this was WW1. WW1 was quite famous and hated exactly because of the flippant use of executions of soldiers who weren’t willing or able to follow horrific orders. After that you’ll find a hard time to find examples. Especially after WW2. I certainly haven’t heard of a single US soldier for example who was executed in the field in Iraq or Afghanistan nor any death penalty even when found guilty of serious charges against them like Abu Ghraib.
So yeah, no. Russia isn’t just doing what every other military is doing as well.
With the natural resources they have, they could have been a major member of the EU providing their people a lifestyle similar to Norway. But no, after the fall of the USSR they decided to go full speed towards a dictatorship. Such a shame.
No worries, it’s quite an odd behaviour. It was the same back on Reddit. No idea if there is a good reason for it or if they copied it to be the same as with Reddit.
