The core issue with dressage is that they are putting the medal on the wrong neck. The horse is doing all of the work, they deserve all of the credit. Yes, being a dressage rider is (probably) hard work, but so is being a jokey or a wrestling coach. It is a beautiful philosophy, but the issue with a land tax is that it is regressive, meaning the poor pay a larger portion of their income than the rich. If you look at detached suburban homes, from 100m² single floor starter homes to 1000m² mansions, the size of the lot is about the same. If you look at high density urban housing, a skyscraper full of luxury condos uses less land per occupant than cheap multi-family homes.

It seems to make the most sense in Soviet style ultra high density housing where the poor live 4 to a shoe box while the rich have luxury country estates.

Why a land tax? Many (most? all?) towns and cities have a real estate tax.

You forgot long term capital gains tax. There is no reason that the investor class should be paying a flat 15% tax. Critics will quickly jump up to say that we need to incentivise people to make long term investments in businesses, which I agree with, so short term capital gains should be taxed like gambling winnings.

Also, minimum wage can be addressed with a one time bump and after that, make tax brackets, 401k contribution limits, etc. multiples of the federal minimum wage.

In some large corporations, there are pay ranges that are determined by your title. It could be that you are on the higher end of the pay range for your existing role, so it is hard for your supervisor to justify why you should be getting more money. By giving you a dry promotion, it becomes easier to give you a fat raise during the compensation review season. At many companies, there is a certain time of the year to give people promotions and then later on in the year to give raises.

As an older fan, because historically, dubs were utter crap. Until about 20 years ago, only kids anime got dubbed and when it was that version would be edited and censored. Some companies would also put out a parallel uncensored release and if one was available, it would be subs only.

Even when you started to get older teen anime dubbed, the voice casting tended to be pretty bad.

Who said that these anime ends after one season? Many times, they have a cliff hanger ending because the producers were hoping to get a second season or they are a faithful adaptation of the first part of a manga that is only half finished.
