Not at all, but you do have to move on to move up often. We’re not Boomers, we don’t get to stay put at a single job for 40 years. There has never been unemployment and wages have been higher for blue collar workers, with growth outpacing inflation much moreso than white collar jobs. Your labor has never been in more demand so get yourself your just dues because you can and should (and DESERVE to) be earning more than minimum wages.

You have more opportunities here than elsewhere. Seek them out.

And I pointed out that wages actually did go up, moreso than any other country on the planet. Then pointed out that inflation has been the lowest of any country as well! And cited it! Yet that is not good enough. No one has had it easier than Americans following the pandemic.

As compared to what? The inflationary rates of the rest of the world? Because things cost more everywhere and comparatively the US weathered that better than about anywhere else. Real Wages have also have increased a lot to compensate in comparison as well. US is smoking other countries in this regard. People ARE dumb because they lack the critical thinking skills to actually look what’s going on.

The Inflation rate is lower than most other countries AND real wages have risen much more in America compared to peer countries as well. Each one of them would trade their numbers with the US in a heartbeat.

A+ Cert in IT is fairly basic and isn’t all that useful besides a general overview of some aspects of the field. However, the most valuable portion of the cert is on troubleshooting methodology and that carries you through the rest of your career. It’s pretty common in a nutshell, try known fixes to previous issues first, then work from simple solutions (check power/cable connections, reboot, etc) to more complex solutions (reformat disk, clean wipe, etc).

The amount of times I’ve been on a million dollar salary engineering troubleshooting call and things like “checking that the credentials are working” get skipped in favor of looking for an issue in a newly written script is hilarious and happens far too frequently.

It’s not that simple solution are necessarily the most likely but that you can rule them out quickly.

It’s a skill like you say, just funny how that cert always comes to mind (it’s the entry level cert for IT for people not familiar).

You don’t need surveillance, if anything that just opens up an avenue for espionage. What you need is AUDITS. Audits fucking suck but they keep everyone accountable. You back up your auditors with strong penalties and clear guidelines and you’re good.

No spending should occur without an auditing plan on how to ensure you’re getting what you paid for.

I think instability of the world at the current moment is being acknowledged by military brass throughout NATO as having the potential volatility to see current regional conflicts expand considerably. Middle East, Taiwan, NK (unlikely but a bit of a crapshoot always), Ukraine, etc. Throw in the wild card that is Trump and his rhetoric surrounding NATO and Europe combined with his embrace of Putin and Russia/dictorial aims in the US and you’ve got several things that would have you worried presently. His job is to make sure the UK is ready to address any situations that arise I think statement is more publicly acknowledging that troubled waters COULD be on the horizon.

Houses are pretty great for a few factors

• Not sharing a wall with a neighbor
• being able to be louder in general
• Not being woken up by neighbors
• Not getting your home infested with bugs because of having a nasty neighbor
• No loud honking at night
• Not having your door accidentally knocked on to ask if your apartment neighbor is home when they’re not answering their door
• Parking in your own garage
• Having a yard for your dog/kids to play in

Apartments fucking suck in so many ways. I get that they’re pretty handy in City Skylines where everyone bases their urban planning experience from but there is a reason people prefer to live in house and it’s because it gives you separation from other people in a way apartments cannot.

They are, they just wasted a lot of time with Hydrogen tech instead building up their EV capabilities
