I’m pretty sure it was Venture on an Atari.
Malt vinegar or that pepper sauce from steak n shake. Well the generic from the grocery store, but it’s the same thing.
I’m not familiar with most of these but I drove 2 hours to see Jukebox the Ghost play in the second story of a church when I was like 19, and Stars is probably my number one favorite band, so I may have to check out some of your other entries here.
Edit: The Jukebox the Ghost show was really cool btw, they wouldn’t let them do an encore in the upstairs part of the venue but they agreed to let the keyboardist do a solo encore on the church’s organ on the first floor.
Forgot WotC. They sent Pinkertons after a leaker and tried to drain every last dollar out of third party creators with their OGL update.
Ah, yeah, I should say my opinion is entirely based around my experience as an American. It’s pretty deeply ingrained here- I mean imagine telling an American that they have to tolerate children running around at 9pm in the dark, they can’t drive their cars around because the streets are clogged with those children and furthermore, they need to stock up on candy because they will be giving it away to the kids.
And there is a culture tradition of vandalizing the homes of people who are stingy about the candy.
If it were new here it’d never even catch on, just like public libraries.
Yeah but you get to dress your kid up as a velociraptor or a ghost buster or something and then interact with people who live near you in a friendly way which doesn’t exist outside of Halloween in this atomized hellscape. Plus it’s way more than one day, I’m putting giant spiders all over my place for at least a month. The webs are hell to take down so I might even leave em up through November out of laziness lol
Halloween sucks as a holiday
I’ve never seen such a bad opinion from a Hexbear user.
You’re not wrong
I think he might have gotten you mixed up with the lib you were arguing with.
Who do you vote for to put a stop to US support for the occupation of Syria? Which US politicians are you voting for to end the murderous sanctions against Cuba, Iran the DPRK and Venezuela? Which US politicians have pledged to quit murdering civilians in Yemen? Which US politicians support Palestinian human rights or at least want to quit bankrolling the open air prison they live in? Which US politicians support ending the concentration camps at our borders? Or slowing down all the refugee deportations to Latin American countries we’ve devastated with all of our “interventions?”
Oh wait, there are none with any power or possibility of getting serious power. Actually the only one putting a stop to the bloodshed in Yemen is China.
The fact is that you probably vote for the Democrats because you wouldn’t be shameless enough to vote for Republicans and then claim that you vote against the US’s mass murdering behavior, but the Democrats don’t have any intentions of ending any of these atrocities and if you’re claiming that they do you’re either a gullible fool or a murder-supporting liar.
Maybe you vote Green? They might be less evil than the GOP and DNC but they will NEVER hold power so they have no impact on how evil the US is.
in the past
You’re running damage control for Western atrocities right now.
Your willingness to change in the face of evidence is a breath of fresh air, thank you!
Okay so if being “authoritarian” is bad and means you shouldn’t be supported, and Sankara ran a state, making him authoritarian, by a definition you’re now agreeing with (again, anyone who runs a state) why are you pretending you don’t think he’s an authoritarian and trying to use him as a cudgel against people who actually share an ideology with him?
Were they engaging in good faith when they posted this massive thread moaning about getting banned for “slight criticism of tankies communities” when it was actually for hating homeless people?
You don’t give someone infinite chances to engage in good faith while they keep moving the football like Lucy from Peanuts, fuck OP.
The term (or the term whataboutery, which it emerged from) was originally used by pro-British newspapers during the troubles to complain that when people would whine about IRA activities others would respond by pointing out that their direct opposition, the British, were committing atrocities.
It’s always been a tool for Western hegemony to avoid criticism and accusations of hypocrisy.
I think that authoritarian is a basically meaningless term when applied to a states.
All states are in the business of using lethal violence, or the threat of it at least, to enforce their rule within their borders.
You’re arguing that it’s okay to call a group a term used almost exclusively by their political enemies who want them completely destroyed, I think it’s pretty obvious that you’re a racist.

I pretty much always go ibuprofen, but aspirin is fine.
I’m pretty sure acetaminophen is snake oil though (this is a joke but I can’t recall ever having it resolve a headache for me like ibuprofen does).
