In my country, I can understand that children read less. Many don’t learn about books at home anymore, and the books we throw at the kids in school are bound to alienate kids from ever touching books again.
That’s how I got a free netbook. The netbook had 32GB flash with windows and office occupying 27+GB. Then windows wanted to do an update - with an 8+GB file. Spot the problem. And windows can get quite annoying with updates. As the netbook could not be expanded, and attempts to redirect the update to a USB stick did not work, a newer netbook was bought, and I got the old one. Linux plus libreoffice plus a bunch of extras happily sat in 4GB…
A friend of ours was approaching her 40th birthday. But she only admitted to having a “round” birthday, and even forbade her kids to talk about mommys age, even though we made a big production to learn her age with trick questions and all. And then we told her that if she keeps mum about her age, we’ll just guesstimate it.
That’s how she got sent loads of cards for her 50th birthday. She was a bit pissed when we arrived for the party. And then we handed her the real cards for her 40th.
I was about to post it. Can you imagine, there is actually a DVD with that film - and a load of extras from the creators.
I have seen such an idiot riding downhill with 40km/h and texting. I stayed far behind him so I at least had a chance to brake in case he made a meat crayon. Luckily I had to leave the road shortly after while he was still texting.

Let’s put it this way: You can produce unreadable code in basically any language. With Perl, it is just a bit easier.
And of course if you have the discipline of a good programmer, even your casual Perl programs should be readable. That’s what differenciates a good programmer from a hacker.
I have to admit that using CL-PPCRE does not really help me understanding the regexp any better. But this may be because I deal with complex regexps for decades now, and I just read them.

Pushing them around like that keeps them from accessing food, rest, shelter, and medication. It is a tried and tested method used by evil governments all over the earth. Look up “Trail of Tears”. Gaza is the same, just with a forth and back movement. Any Gaza inhabitant that dies of these conditions saves an IDF bullet, and they can claim “it wasn’t us!”.
Ask people in Gaza whether this is fantasy or reality.

I would not be surprised if they did that - and then continued their way south. Israel is clearly out to exterminate the Palestinian people by any means possible, from outright shooting and bombing them to starving them and killing them by witholding medical services.
This actually depends on the kind of project. In larger and longterm projects I write my comments in English. In quick jobs like writing a source code generator or data swabbler that I need once or relatively short term, I use German. It does not make much of a difference for me, though, and I have a script that walks over a source tree to find some common German words just in case I had written something in German by accident.
There are two problems with that: First, what is acceptable or not is a cultural thing and varies from country to country. There are actually countries where anything depicting humans or mentioning women is NSFW. In other countries they wonder “why has this been marked NSFW? They don’t even f_ck!”.
Second, even with atking this into account, and if we concentrate on an American and European context which has mostly comparable ideas of morality, people still mark things as NSFW where I ask “Why?”, and other posts are not marked NSFW where I also ask “Why?” - if you understand what I mean.
So any usage of an NSFW tag has a certain ambuguity to it, and can only seen as a hint, as a personal thing to use or not use as the poster evaluates it.
