You pass out.
You pass out.
Well, our child is past the stage of using formula. So it’s not an issue (for that) anymore.
The farm store is fairly close, so getting there shouldn’t be an issue (even in an emergency). Spouse is not as concerned about those things as I am (and I’m not real concerned about it either [i.e. I’m not a prep-er]).
Growing up on a farm, I always told my spouse that if a severe earthquake hit I was going to go to the farm supply store and get two 50 lb bags of “calf mana” to feed our child with (if needed). “Calf mana” is basically powdered baby formula for calfs/colts/sheep/etc.
I’m sure it would be safe to eat (in an emergency). Wouldn’t normally use it, but in a pinch it’s better than starving.
I’ve been trying to remember all the little folks since I’ve become so fabulously wealthy, but it just doesn’t seem worth it anymore. /s
I’ll let them know that (in case it ever becomes relevant).
They are a wonderful partner and I would never leave them for something so minor. It’s just a thing I can’t quite wrap my head around - I’m sure I have things about myself that they don’t get either. It’s not a big deal to either of us.
Tried that many times (to no avail).
We are both university grads and know how math works. They just can’t get past the psychological barrier of “the bill will be higher when we check out”.
Can’t get my partner to do this. They are too worried about “saving money/we don’t need it (now)”. For heavens sake, I’m not saying buy a spare house; just pick up an extra tube of toothpaste!
Wisconsin I believe (or don’t believe as the case may be).
Try this: DSL Linux
Would Sprit Halloween really take a chance on something that shabby?
I think not.
I once abused an SMTP relay (my own) by emailing Novell a 400+ MB memory dump. Their FTP site kept timing out.
After all that, and them swearing they had to have it, the OS team said “Nope, we’re not going to look at it”. Guess how I feel about Novell after that?
This was in the mid-90’s.
Pretty sure FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) is for deposits only, not debts. The politicians would never let their donors suffer.
Hugh government bail out (American here). Taxpayer gets stuck with the bill. Companies loose nothing (probably make even more than way).
Uncle Sam couldn’t handle the success the metric system would bring. /s
MULE (c64) and Hack/Nethack (x86).
Had one application that would (somethings) give the message: Hey baby, you’re an object.
Some users where not amused.
So you had Yahoo email too 😉
Not in 'merica it don’t!
So many people I’ve met don’t have a clue about critical thinking/reasoning.
In my US state, you can be fired for “no reason” also.
The US doesn’t have any real worker protections. And one political party in particular is trying their damnedest to remove the few we do.
Thanks for the compliment. Exactly what I was thinking.
