How come that whole continent, which is the birthplace of homo sapiens, can’t feed it’s population?

There should be some kind of “accountability score” for politicians, managed by an independent body, that will track all their promises and follow up with whether they, at least tried, to fulfill them. So that voters will be able to refer to it, before they reelect the same do-nothing again and again…
How long until western media will tell that gunmen were under stress of Israel war in Gaza strip?
Adjusted for inflation Palestine had been given 71 billion USD in international aid over the years, so saying “Palestine has been starved of money” is not an understatement but a blatant lie.
If you’d say Palestinian people starved of money I’d probably agree: as their corrupt leaders stole most of those funds, and used the rest to fund and enable terror activities as well as children indoctrination in hatred
This just few weeks after UN puts Iran to chair Human Rights Council Social Forum
Let’s see how it’s turned around to be Israel’s fault somehow…
Videos released by Hamas show ppl in civilian clothing launch Mortars to Israeli territories, so can’t really rely on uniforms.
There were already videos with rocket launchers placed in kindergarten as well as stored ammunition and hand grenades… Let’s see if in several days, a video proof that this specific hospital was used for military purpose too, will pop up.
With diesel, Hamas can power air circulation vents in their tunnels, as well as water pumps (some people in comments on Lemmy said that the low sea level there may affect the depth of the tunnels).
mostly struck military targets
Technically correct, the worst kind of correct…
https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog-november-5-2023/ The Kiryat Shmona municipality says the city was targeted in two separate rocket barrages Sunday night with over half of the 13 projectiles fired hitting areas inside the city.
Best way to protest for peace… By throwing molotovs on a Jewish building.
As the meme goes: “We’ll prove that we’re religion of peace, by ample force and terror!”
I understand (and that could be totally wrong/naive on my part) that in the criminal world, such shooting on the door of the target, is considered a forward warning, and a show of readiness to commence next steps.
What would those steps be, I wonder…
Yep, the one where they broke into airport and painted private jets made a bit more sense…
I think they must present their considerations/justifications to neutral third party, but there’s danger of very potent intelligence being publicized. Imagine if IDF/US military had a high ranking informant among Hamas leadership, who then let them know that they plan to use ambulance movement to smuggle forces/equipment in and out of Gaza. If they publish it far and wide, that person is in grave danger, but more impactful - they won’t be able to provide Intel anymore…
No it’s not, see the reaction of journalists/politicians who attended the screening of 43 minutes of 7-Oct atrocities…
Not in this case…
For people not in the know: there is a huge representation of Thai workers in Israeli agricultural sector
I was speaking about Palestinian Israeli citizens, those that live inside Israel, learn in universities in Jerusalem/Tel Aviv/Haifa, work in law, pharmacies, hospitals or retail, pay Israeli taxes etc etc. Not about Gazans or West bank.
My point was that 2 million Palestinian Israeli citizens live and prosper, though according to “thah genocide” folks, should be gradually disappearing…
And, while I don’t have stats, but I believe Palestinians in the West bank under PA rule enjoy higher standard of living compared to Gazans, despite having much less international funds funneled to them - but I may be in the wrong here.
With Israeli obsession with children and family, it is extremely hard for LGBT, or any other couples to adopt - they have to prove they have the means to raise up these kids - both material and psychological.
