And I bet at least one of them had a Hamas command center hidden in his back pocket too!

This clickbait title will make you (or at least me) not want to click the link because it sounds like a shitty ad!💥🔥🍄
I solved this issue by following multiple tags that interest me. People tend to tag their posts on Mastodon it seems, so discovering posts about, say, wine and cacti is as easy as following #wine #cactus #cacti #redwine #oragewine and so on and so forth - it’s working pretty good for me without an algorithm recommending stuff to me, maybe it’s worth a try?
Oh cool! I’ll need to look into that, thanks! Wonder if there’s a way to convert an existing Windows parition into this somehow, installed software and all, because that would be perfect…
Right, but you have to boot into Windows first to even get the update in the first place…
So, no booting into Windows until this is fixed then? Fine by me. Hell, might actually make me uninstall it completely and free some disk space…
Same here. I was fine with W10, but the recent W11 shenanigans were the last straw, and I decided to give Linux Mint a try. Couldn’t be happier - everything is so much more snappy now. And since I game on consoles only and my crappy PC was never a gaming machine to begin with, I have zero issues - wish I switched sooner!
Small print, excessive legalese and outright deceptive language in ads, agreements and such. All the “free” (not really free) trials, “unlimited” (not really unlimited) plans, “best value” (according to the producer and their mum) deals and shit like that.
There really should be a law prohibiting that - if reading through terms and conditions for using a damn website or a toothbrush or whatever requires 4 hours of free time, a magnifyibg glass and degree in law, such t&cs should be illegal. Same for disclaimers and such in ads - any 4pt text displayed for 2 seconds on screen should automatically result in a massive fine.
Yup, most of the internet is now sadly an ad-infested monetized corporate hellhole, and as a bonus it’s now rapidly being filled to the brim with AI slop, because it clearly wasn’t bad enough just yet… :(
It’s always porn, isn’t it? We don’t need to protect children from misinformation, fascism, violence, racism, discrimination or exploitation on the internet, it’s always just porn for some reason…
A safety can opener that doesn’t create any sharp edges, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_mLxyIXpSY (a LONG video, but quite an interesting one IMHO).
It’s nor even funny how much this thing is better than any other opener I’ve ever used, it’s just so bloody amazing!
How about we try it with wages too, Wendy’s? It’s a busy time and you REALLY need me to finish a project? Well, my pay just surged, so pay up or come back later when I have nothing to do. How’s that for an “enhanced feature” you greedy fucking pricks?
Wow. Also, the obsession of morons with Punisher is just baffling. It’s not a very complicated story at all, and yet all these idiots just completely misunderstand it and proudly wear this mark because Frank Castle is cool and kills people…
Screw the star of david, having a Punisher skull symbol anywere on or close to your damn uniform should be a fireable offense.
Better Open With: because recent Android versions forcing you to just select one app to open each type of link sucks balls. With this, you can go vack to the way it was before - having a choice of app every time you tap a link. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aboutmycode.betteropenwith
And that’s why location is always off on all my devices, and gets turned on only when I want to search for something nearby or use navigation. Then it goes back off until the next time I need it.
Mostly [email protected] and sometimes [email protected] for cacti (hope I’m linking it correctly).
That is not what I’m saying at all. What I’m saying is that every single online platform that I know that describes itself as a “free speech platform/bastion/zone/whatever” gets sooner or later filled to the brim with people spouting vile, deplorable and often violent rhetoric.
I can discuss a lot of things and accept, understand or at least tolerate a lot of opinions differing from mine, but things like “black people are sub-human”, “gays should be killed” or “preschoolers can be sexy”* are NOT in that group. And these types of comments are inevitably what naming your site a “free speech platform” attracts in my experience. I think there is no way to discuss (or even just utter) them in good faith, and yes, I do consider people holding such beliefs to be awful - it’s not like I’m trying to use the term lightly or to denote folks who like different pizza toppings or TV shows than I do…

True, Squabbles just felt better suited than Lemmy to short, no context random posts and photos. Might be all in my head though :)
How many military orphanages, military preschools and military press tents are they planning to strike this time? Are military supermarkets, military food banks and military temples also on the target list, or not this time?
