For me, the being a mother of three and that being mentioned just has descriptive value. It doesn’t affect my judgement of her. It just helps me place who did this in the context of society and this anecdote, for whatever that matters - haters/bigots come in all shapes and sizes of course

I was on the subway and saw a mum and her child who looked about 2 in a stroller and with a pacifier in. The child was being entertained by a tablet that she and her mum were controlling. I thought of how many screens that child will interact with throughout her life and how many of those would replace face-to-face conversations with another human that previous generations had

Right on! I’d guess you’re in Europe. I just meant to describe how the elimination of the deposit in Canada and the US happened. It was corporate motivated, not municipally motivated. Sorry, I should have been more specific
