I’d argue you already tried the best two things, but maybe give the Chalupa a try as those are pretty good from what i remember.

I think that hot sauce on pizza is awesome and I have been doing it for years. My apologies if I am making their population decline, but I won’t be stopped.
That’s actually very much my kind of font, thanks a lot. At first glace I still prefer my current font (Liberation Mono), but I’ll give it a test run and see how it feels after a couple of weeks. You can never tell right away if a font is a keeper.
I’ve used it in the past, thanks for reminding me of it though.
I remember these when they came out, and I liked Neon and Krypton the most. I’m glad you linked it so others might get to see it though, thanks!
I don’t love it, but I also went in hoping for a possible new monospaced font to try out. It’s nice to have options and maybe give Suse a slightly more distinct look I suppose.
If its my own personal code, snake case, if I am sharing with my frontend devs then camel case. If I am writing short scripts, then flat.
I had the same experience with bitcoin. I had friends excitedly talking about it when it was around $1-$2 a coin and I dismissed it as a neat idea that would never fly. When BTC “crashed” at $10, I felt vindicated. Now I feel completely foolish :)
I had a similar school project around the same era. My wealthy grandfather suggested I invest in Phillip Morris. You should have seen the look on my teachers face when I bought the fake stock!. I actually ended up getting extremely into it and sold all of those “evil” fake stocks for an early tech company. I was quite certain it would do well, and I was right and I ended up winning the project by a wide margin. I tried to get my parent to let me use most of my savings account to buy real stock but they dismissed the idea because I was just a kid. It would have paid for my college education entirely if they had let me (they certainly didn’t help).
Well, they are definitely something that is awful.
I just got one of these last week for $150 new. The panel won’t be winning any awards for visual quality, nor will the speakers be lauded by audiophiles, but it perfectly serviceable and affordable.
Which is kinda silly anyway, and I love Snow Crash, but it wasn’t even close to his most interesting book.
Screw you Google. Enjoy your antitrust.
Salaries are not “going through the roof”, that’s ridiculous. Salaries haven’t come close to staying in line with the cost of living, and especially house prices, for decades. It’s been thoroughly shown companies have been lying about employee compensation being the main cause for inflation and high prices. The real reason is corporate greed.
It’s both, the housing market is a disaster here, but they also could easily buy a house in a less popular, less desirable area. Now maybe that $250K combined salary is also only possible because of the very high cost of living area they live in. I have a friend that was making $150K in CA that had to live in small an apartment with a roommate, and that was nearly a decade ago. It still blows my mind, but that salary simply wasn’t a lot in that area.
I feel like this error message was targeted at a very specific, very annoying user that can’t be ignored.
Most comments have covered the biggest ones, but I’m going with a toaster. I have bought some really fancy toasters that can’t consistently toast a slice or bread or bagel and burn the edges and I’ve have some non-name junk tier that do great. It really seems like this should be a solved problem at this point, but nope.
I had to buy a new microwave because the one I got didn’t have a silent mode. The beeping makes me irrationally angry,
I wonder if people using steam decks know they are running Arch.
Check out Quod Libet, it is my current favorite.
