I’m intact(/uncircumsized) and cannot imagine how you would accidentally do that
Threads doesnt have that much users I think. Fb, insta and whatsapp do have a lot of users but I dont expect a lot of users comming from there
That is normal around where I live, because you never know if it will be alice after birth. So I mostly see the name in the birth-card my friends usually send
One does not simply “block fingerprinting”. Fingerprinting is incredibly complicated and very hard to avoid. You need VPN, Browser with no extentions and fixed windowsize (tor or mullvad), frequent cookie deletion, even the installed fonts/language packs can give them identifiers…
EFF has a good test which tests your browser
I mean that may well be that I havent heard of “those” feminists, altho I hear about many things feminists here (in Switzerland) push for. I read the demands of every feministic protest for example and never was there one of the points I mentioned.
I think your comment sounded like victim blaming to me. For example:
Men die (more) in suicides. Feminists (mostly women) fight against the patriarchy, which is a product by men. If the higher suicide numbers is because of the patriarchy, then “its their own fault”.
Thats why I see things like “the patriarchy” or categories like “the men” or “the feminists” very critically as it generalizes too much.
And back to the OP: I dont think that a dedicated “minister for women” can or will help in men-issues, because I don’t believe the logical detour via the patriarchy makes sense. One would have to fight the misandrist laws like the army draft (here in switzerland its mandatory for men but voluntary for women) directly and not shadow-box ““the patriarchy””.
Because if there is then the calls for a
And so on.
The only solution would be a minister for gender equality. Or social equality. And then there has to be a check, what issues this minister is working on improving.
I have never heard of a feminist…
It all being part of the patriarchy is maybe true if you want to look at it in this perspective. But I am of the opinion that most of those points would not majorly improve even if feminists would have total political control for the next 10 years.
Because feminists stand up for the rights of women. Which is totally important and good. But will not automatically improve the lifes of men, because its not the aim of most feminists.
I write it down if my voice tells me something I should remember, else i just let my thoughts wander wherever they want.
After a while I know what I want to do next, because boredom showed me what my body and mind needs.
Why? I use it for chats and group chats with many people in all age groups and it never sucks.
Theoretically unions are unionized workers who represent all workers. So they should do surveys from time to time about what the current concerns of the workers are.
At least thats how it works in Switzerland.
Unhook on Firefox is very good.
I heard that the wiki foundation is pretty well off and the saleries they pay the executives are rising pretty fast. Havent donated myself but in principle I should, eventho the higher ups are earning this much.
In the US, yes. In Germany, Switzerland and every other country with a good election system there are many different parties so you can just vote for the greenest (or the literal “Green party”).
Vote for better policies and laws that force companies to be better as well.
Even if we improve ourselves as much as possible: We still need the products of big corps which only improve because of (1) laws or (2) when losing money.
Firefox and Bitwarden is the way to go Or even Mullvad Browser instead of Firefox. Its basically Firefox but already shipped with all the right configs and addons.
Yea but that wouldn’t bring the necessary investors, right?
I have Podcast Addict, I think its free but I paid a few dollars because of the great selection of settings and options I never knew I needed.
(For example I have it configured so that after 5pm the Sleeptimer automatically makes the podcast fade down and pausing after 10’ of listening, unless I move/shake the phone during the fade down-part, then it extends for another 10’. Perfect for using it in public transport or in bed and dozing off.)
