Find an appropriate sublemmy on Hexbear and post this, ideally in a context that explicitly declares you oppose genocide. You’ll get nothing but the following in your thread:

2. Denials of the Uyghur genocide.
3. Adoration of the CCP, especially Xi Jinping (but Hexbear likes any authoritarian tyrant in China, so any CCP politician may end up adulated).

You thankfully appear to have not been exposed to a “proper” hexbear thread where all they can do to communicate is call you a shitlib for doing things like acknowledging genocide.

How bad are these that Hexbear didn’t even make the list? Drilling through on the clickable version here makes it clear that the #1, poa.st, has the same basic content as Hexbear, but I’m assuming it’s somehow way worse. Just imagine.

What this article fails to contain is any sort of rebuttal - the closest it comes is this, which isn’t a rebuttal or denial:

Haniyeh accused Israel of acting in “the spirit of revenge and murder.”

I can’t find any sources claiming the three were civilians. So to reiterate: Israel killed 7 people, claiming 3 were military targets and 4 were civilian collateral damage. Hamas (or rather, the Hamas leader who was the dead people’s patriarch) claimed the killings were an act of revenge. Both can be true, and I can’t find any sources rebutting either claim.

The problem with your attitude is that, by definition, free speech is only a useful right when it protects unpopular speech. The law at hand here isn’t a surprise (the UK hasn’t got free speech as an enshrined right), but it is certainly a particularly glaring red flag that there is absolutely nothing stopping them from e.g. passing a nearly-identical law copying Thailand about the royal family and putting in prison anyone who calls Prince Andrew a pedophile.

The vast majority of important free speech cases throughout history have involved the most deplorable people making the most deplorable kinds of speech, but e.g. American free speech would be nonexistent if the KKK hadn’t won their landmark case.

I mean, it isn’t the strongest quake in 25 years. Unclear why the source is making that claim. From what I can tell, the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami is. How is this even remotely surprising? The German constitution makes no guarantee of free speech. It’s not a legally protected right there, and Germany is world infamous for not having free speech.

Bear in mind Lemmy is an overall very leftist platform. Claiming an outside observer can tell a man from a woman is going to attract downvotes, let alone going on to list alleged specific differences.
