Oh yay! Happy times. The fdroid version doesn’t have that yet but I look forward to the update.

It is way way lighter weight and is overall a better experience. I use osmand for routing because the voice is much better tuned (OM just says barely-useful things like “turn left” instead of “turn left at Broadway”. I think both have their uses. If the voice was better I would use OM exclusively.

That’s fair. Like the sibling comment says, it’s worth it for me. But not everyone has the ability to pay.

I’ve been happy with Kagi. It’s for-pay but it’s quality to me.

I regularly go to classes for (non-ballroom) latin dance and occasionally dip my toes in a swing event. I used to professionally perform classical music and burned out real hard some years ago; It’s nice to have started something from the ground up. Enjoyment and mastery at my own pace.

It makes me happy to see techie enjoy the job rather. It makes the whole thing feel more human and connecting as everyone wants to be there showcasing their craft.

Dancing! Both socially and performatively. It’s very fulfilling to me and is an easy way to raise my mood. there are very rarely any times where I come in and out with a foul mood.

These stories continue to come out. And things continue to not change.

Don’t hate it! You were just born in a different time. Your time will come where you have to explain to the young ones about how “smart phones” worked since they’ll just have their implants as interfaces. And also jetpacks.

And weird bugs like Windows audio somehow creeping into audio CD burns. Or the times in Linux where the tray would refuse to open or close. I used to keep a paper clip next to my next to force it open sometimes…

I don’t miss that hardware.

It also took me a long time to realize that the word “awry”, which I read often in books and inferred its meaning, and “ah-rai” were the same thing. I thought awry was pronounced “aw-ree” and it was just a synonym for “ah-rai”.

Definitely do it! It got mr making friends and getting out more.

A lot of latin dance. Tons of lessons, workshops, and social dancing. I recommend it :)

They’ve been completely dropping the ball for years. I used to donate regularly but have completely given up on this project. It’s a farce at this point.

Thankfully I only have simple needs so Krita suffices and I don’t have to deal with the never-improving UX nightmare and never-releasing changes.

Yeah, I’m not too fond of that statement. I respect ddevault, particularly since I have seen his serious growth into a mature, empathetic person. So ICM surprised that this made it into the post.
