There is “no way” to solve Israel’s long-term security challenges in the region and the short-term challenges of rebuilding Gaza without the establishment of a Palestinian state, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said on Thursday.

Speaking at a news briefing, Miller said Israel had an opportunity right now as countries in the region were ready to provide security assurances to Israel.

“But there is no way to solve their long-term challenges to provide lasting security and there is no way to solve the short-term challenges of rebuilding Gaza and establishing governance in Gaza and providing security for Gaza without the establishment of a Palestinian state.”

The comments came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a press conference he had told Washington that he objected to any Palestinian statehood that did not guarantee Israel’s security.

Even if it was 30% Palestinians and 70% Jews. Imagine that you live in a country where roughly every 3rd person wants to kill you.

Thats a racist stereotype. There are millions of Arabs living in Israel and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians worked in Israel. End apartheid and the racist regime and there would be no more reason for conflict.

I wish it was as simple as you think. People in Gaza are from the youngest age taught to kil every single Jew in the world. There are bright exceptions but a considerable amount are radicals. Do you really think that they would suddenly change their approach?

What propaganda are you talking about? I think all of us saw what happened in October and there is a lot of evidence of how education in Gaza works.

But yes, I guess it is popular to assume that Gaza and its leadership are ideal and each time someone dares to criticize it, they are spreading propaganda xD
